Tammi Brown

Tammi Brown is currently a vocalist in the two-time Grammy Award nominated Vocal Ensemble The Cultural Heritage Choir led by the Legendary, Linda Tillery. Her musical journey has taken her to many stages in over 10 countries including solo performances at the famous Apollo Theater in Harlem, New York, The Monterey Jazzn and Blues Festivals, Abbey De Boscodon in Crots, France, and many more. Recently, Tammi was selected to be ‘The Voice’ of the New Jazzbook Series produced by Albert Greenberg. Ms. Brown also performs with the world renowned Jazz guitarist, Stanley Jordan, and provided her vocals on “Steppin’ Out” on his “State of Nature” record, which received a 51st Grammy Award nomination.
 
In addition, she was selected to perform in the ‘Tribute to Quincy Jones’ at the 59th Monterey Jazz Festival as well as the Hollywood Bowl in Hollywood, California alongside the legendary, Valerie Simpson – directed by Quincy Jones and John Clayton. Tammi has shared the stage with many distinguished Artists including Renaissance Poet, Dr. Maya Angelou and prominent Folk singer, Joan Baez. Her voice is also on Blues’ great, Eric Bibb’s “Jericho Road” record. Tammi co-produced her single “That’s How it Goes” with 13-time Grammy nominated Jazz Fusion artist, Tom Schuman of Spyro Gyra and is currently working on a new record scheduled to be released year-end 2018.

Martan Mann, improvisational, jazz pianist loves to play in duo-setting with fabulous vocalists and instrumentalists.  The Art of the Duo Music Series will highlight the interplay of top-flight vocalists with pianist, Martan Mann in a totally creative presentation.  The result is an exciting musical freedom.  
 
Martan has worked with great vocalists and instrumentalists such as Jack Jones, Julie Kelly, Tammi Brown, Pamela Polland, Cathy Segal Garcia, Gail Dobson, Sandra Marlowe, Sonny Stitt and many more. He has authored three internationally published books on jazz improv as well as creating an extensive online jazz piano course, JazzSkills for Piano.
