A simple hello can change everything. For singer-songwriters and multi-instrumentalists Sherry-Lynn Lee and George Paolini, a chance meeting at an open mic transformed unlikely bedfellows into sympathetic artistic souls. In March 2017, 23rd Hour released its debut album -- Perfect Strangers -- a body of original compositions and jazz standards that melds eclectic and urbane musicality with pop accessibility and poetic sentiments. Sherry and George’s artistry encompasses jazz, classical, rock, folk, and pop. They hit that sweet spot of subtle adventurousness epitomized by artists such as Norah Jones, James Taylor and Joni Mitchell. Both are gifted instrumentalists, proficient on guitar, piano, mandolin, harmonica.  The album "Perfect Strangers" debuted at #22 and shot to #10 on the iTunes new jazz releases chart within a few days. Since then, the duo has been featured as guests Hypebot, CD Baby's DIY Musician Blog, Break The Business, Female Entrepreneur Musician, Brassy Broadcast and many others.

About the Show

After a standing room only album release show, 23rd Hour is coming back to Angelicas on July 1st to kick off the holiday weekend. Leave your worries at the door and step into another time for one evening as the acoustic jazz-pop duo serenades you through supper. With a sound likened to Norah Jones, The Civil Wars and James Taylor, the duo's melodic originals meld seamlessly with their renditions of the standards, old and new.

If you'd love to see great live music that comes with gourmet food, a good wine selection, table seating, a relaxing ambiance, and a volume that won't blast your ears, you need to get your tickets now!
23rd Hour will be joined on stage by Marc Levine (bass), Brian Kunz (drums), Simmy Willemann (violin), and Anthony Paolini (saxophone).
